Chittagong Kings moved into the final of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 after securing a two-wicket victory against Khulna Tigers in a nail-biting Qualifier-2 game at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Wednesday (Feb 5).
A match that repeatedly produced momentum to the fans, Chittagong finally prevailed by scoring a required 15 runs in the last over, with Aliss Al Islam hammering a boundary through extra cover when his side needed four runs in the last ball.
Batted first, Khulna Tigers recovered from a shaky start, thanks to Shimron Hemyer’s 33 ball-63 to rack up 163-6.
However, Chittagong eventually won the game by holding their nerves. They will take on Fortune Barishal in the final a the same vunue on Friday.
Earlier, in the Qualifier-1 game, Chittagong lost to Barishal and forced to play Qualifier-2 game.
