No tax on foreign doctors’ fee for treating July injured

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has exempted the income tax on fees, hotel rents, meals and airfares for foreign doctors during their stay in Bangladesh for providing treatment to people injured in anti-discrimination student movement.

To this end, the NBR on Wednesday (Feb 5) issued a notification.

The revenue authority has exempted the tax under the Income Tax Acts 2023, the notification added.
