The police headquarters (PHQ) on Monday (Feb 10) warned that, stern action would be taken against those persons who would be found involved in threatening others. In a statement, the PHQ said, "If any anti-social element threatens any peace-loving citizen, strict legal action will be taken against them."
The statement said, the PHQ has noticed that anti-social elements are giving threats to the people of different classes and professions across the country.
“Any kind of threat to any person is a crime under the law,” it said adding that a victim of such threat can immediately inform nearest police station or over the national emergency service 999 for prompt police action.
"Bangladesh Police is committed to ensuring the safety and security of every citizen of the country and maintaining the law and order," the statement added.
