The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday (Dec 24) announced the fixtures for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, which will take place from Feb 19 to Mar 9 in Pakistan and UAE.
The International Cricket Council released the Champions Trophy fixtures on Tuesday (Dec 24). The eight-team tournament will be held in host country Pakistan and neutral venue Dubai from Feb 19 to Mar 9. Defending champions Pakistan and India were drawn alongside New Zealand and Bangladesh in Group A while England will face Australia, South Africa and Afghanistan in Group B.
The tournament opener will see Pakistan face New Zealand in Karachi on Feb 19 while India take on Bangladesh in Dubai the following day.
The Pakistan Cricket Board picked Dubai as a neutral venue after India refused to travel to Pakistan because of the ongoing political tensions between the countries. As a result, India's three group fixtures and the first semi-final on Mar 4 will be played in the United Arab Emirates.
The final, scheduled to be held in Lahore on Mar 9, will also move to Dubai if India qualify for the title decider.

About the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy
Australia and India are the two most successful sides in the ICC Champions Trophy since its inception in 1998 when it was known as the ICC KnockOut Trophy. Both the sides have won the event twice, with Australia being the only side to win back-to-back titles - in 2006 in Mumbai, India, and in 2009 in Centurion, South Africa. India shared the title with hosts Sri Lanka in Colombo in 2002 before winning again in Birmingham, England, in 2014.
Other past winners are South Africa (Dhaka, Bangladesh, 1998), New Zealand (Nairobi, Kenya, 2000), West Indies (The Oval, London, 2004) and Pakistan (The Oval, London, 2017).
