Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) Chairman Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho has said reforms should be election-oriented and it should not delay the election anyway. “Reforms must be done quickly so that the elections are not delayed,” he told journalists at his Ukill Para residence ‘Shanto Neer’ at his home down in Bhola on his three-day visit, local media reported.
Replying to a query of journalists, Barrister Partho said the way the incumbent interim government has been running the state affairs for the last six months, people are losing their trust in it day by day.
About the reform issue, he categorically said, “Reforms are very important for the people. But it must be completed quickly.”
The BJP chairman said his party has started organizing centering the upcoming polls and, the work of organizing the party across the country will be completed scale after Ramadan.
Terming the existing law and order situation across the country as very alarming, he said this situation has arisen due to the government’s low public involvement. Barrister Partho also suggested the government to ensure the involvement of someone with the important ministries, who have high attachment to the mass people.
Echoing the Chief Adviser’s statement, he also expressed hope that the current situation would be normalized in the days to come.
