The Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) has announced that traffic in the Dhaka Cantonment area will be restricted at specific hours on Thursday (Nov 21) due to the observance of the Armed Forces Day 2024.
The movement will be restricted in the area from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 12 p.m to 7 p.m., according to a notification issued by on Saturday (Nov 16).
ISPR has requested all vehicles – except those carrying invited guests and personnel stationed at the cantonment – to avoid the Shaheed Jahangir Gate to the Staff Road during the period and urged the commuters to plan alternate routes and avoid travelling through the cantonment area.
The restriction was imposed to keep the streets inside the cantonment free from traffic congestion, the notification added.
