Bangladesh thrashed Bhutan by 7-1 in the first semifinal of the SAFF Women's Championship on Sunday (Oct 27). With the emphatic win, they reached the final of the tournament to defend their title.
Striker Tohura Khatun scored a hat-trick and captain Sabina Khatun netted a brace while Ritu Porna Chakma and Masura Parvin supported them with one goal each for Bangladesh in an one-sided affairs at Dasharath Rangasala Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Deki Lhazom netted a consolation goal for Bhutan.
Tohura was named the Player of the Match for her impressive performance.
The defending champions will play the final match against second semi-finalist either India or host Nepal on Oct 30 at the same venue.
