Dinamo Zagreb win against Red Bull Salzburg

Dinamo Zagreb win against Red Bull Salzburg

Sandro Kulenovic and Bruno Petkovic scored second-half goals as Dinamo Zagreb secured a 2-0 Champions League win at 10-man RB Salzburg on Wednesday (Oct 23), only their second ever away victory in the league phase of the competition.

Dinamo Zagreb claimed their first Champions League win of the season with a 2-0 victory over 10-man Red Bull Salzburg in Austria.

Sandro Kulenovic opened the scoring in the 49th minute for the Croatian side, linking up with Stefan Ristovski before slotting past Alexander Schlager.

Salzburg goalkeeper Schlager was shown a red card shortly after when he handled the ball outside of his box to save Petar Sucic's goalbound shot.

Bruno Petkovic wrapped up the win for Zagreb in the 84th minute, rifling the ball into the bottom corner of the net.

The result moves Zagreb away from the bottom of the table, while Salzburg are still searching for their first point in the league phase of the competition.
