Rana saw off Zakir Hasan, Paul Stirling, Jaker Ali, and Samiullah Shinwari to restrict Sylhet to 121-9 after Rangpur posted a moderate 155-6.
Spinner Khushdil Shah and seamer Mohammad Saifuddin captured two wickets apiece for Rangpur.
