Bangladesh and Timor-Leste have signed two instruments on visa exemption and the establishment of bilateral consultation mechanism (BCM) aiming to reach the relations between the two nations to a new height. The agreements were signed at a joint press appearance at the Chief Adviser's Office in Dhaka in presence of Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and President of Timor-Leste Jose Ramos-Horta, local media reported.
On behalf of their respective sides, Home Adviser Lt Gen Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury and Timor-Leste Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Dr Bendito dos Santos Freitas signed the agreement on exemption from visa requirement for holders of diplomatic and official or service passports.
Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain and Dr Bendito dos Santos Freitas inked the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the establishment of bilateral consultation mechanism (BCM).
