Chief Adviser of the interim government Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus on Thursday (Nov 14) met Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev at the COP29 climate summit venue in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan. During the meeting, they discussed issues of mutual interest, according to a message received in Dhaka.
Earlier, Non-Resident Ambassador of Azerbaijan Elchin Huseynli in a meeting with Prof Yunus in Dhaka stressed the need for deeper trade ties between two countries on Oct 22 last. He also said Baku is seeking new opportunities and ways for opening up doors for more businesses. Azerbaijan sought to sign an air service agreement with Bangladesh, he added.
Dr. Yunus is expected to return home on Thursday after wrapping up his state visit to Baku, Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder told BSS News.
