Offices reopen after Eid vacation

Offices reopen after Eid vacation

After a five-day Eid and Pahela Boishakh vacation, offices, courts, banks and stock markets opened on Monday (Apr 15). The people are returning to the capital after celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of the Muslim community, local media reported.

On the occasion of Eid, Apr 10, 11, and 12 (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) were public holidays. After Eid, there was weekly holiday on Saturday, Apr 13, and Bengali New Year holiday on Sunday (Apr 14). As a result, employees are enjoying holidays from Apr 10 to 14.

However, many of the government and private sector workers who went outside Dhaka for Eid have taken optional leave. As a result, it will take a few more days to start the proceedings in full swing in the offices, courts, banks, and stock markets.

Besides, schools and colleges will also open next week, then the capital will return to regular look.
