Popular singer Doly Shaontoni on Monday (Nov 27) bought a nomination form from the Bangladesh Nationalist Movement (BNM) to participate in the 12th national polls, scheduled for Jan 7. She collected the form for the Pabna-2 constituency, local media reported.
Doly Shaontoni has garnered recognition for her contributions to contemporary Bangla songs and traditional folk music. She releases solo, duet, and mixed albums and also songs for the Dhallywood. She released 15 solo albums, over 100 duet songs and mixed albums and also sings in over 700 Bengali films.
Recently, the BNM started the sale of nomination forms at the new office of the party in Gulshan.
