The government has adjusted the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) fixing the price of 12 kg cylinder at Tk 1,363. The price is Tk 79 upward from the existing price of 12 kilogram (Kg) LPG cylinder. The new price is effective from 6 p.m. Monday (Oct 2) and all licenses of LPG marketing companies will implement the price, according to an announcement of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC).
The BERC also re-fixed auto gas price at Tk 62.54 per liter and per kilogram LPG at Tk 113.61 at private retailer point.
Price of LPG in reticulated system owned by private sector has been fixed at Tk 109.79 per kilogram, BERC said.
According to the BERC details, the price of LPG $600 and $615 per tonne was fixed for October 2023 by Saudi Contract Price (Saudi CP). Considering the Propane and Butane ratio 35:65 average, Saudi CP per ton $609.75, the BERC re-fixed the price of LPG and auto gas for October 2023.
As per the BERC decision, new price at retailer level owned by private sector, 12.5 kg LPG has been fixed at Tk 1,420 at retailer level, 15 kg at Tk 1,704, 16 kg at Tk 1,818, 18 kg at Tk 2,045, 20 kg at Tk 2,272, 22 kg at Tk 2,500, 25 kg at Tk 2,840, 30 kg at Tk 3,408, 33 kg at Tk 3,749, 35 kg at Tk 3,976 and 45 kg at Tk 5,113.
