‘Nagad’ holds event with DMP’s detective branch

‘Nagad’, the Digital Financial Service of Bangladesh Post Office, had organized an event with the intelligence division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) to discuss the customer’s transactional security in the mobile financial sector. During the event arranged by the organization's external affairs division, the speakers discussed various issues related to the country’s MFS industry.

AKM Hafiz Akhter, additional commissioner (Detective Branch) of DMP, was present as the chief guest at the event held on May 26 at a hotel in Dhaka. Muhammad Harun Ar Rashid, DMP (North) joint commissioner of Police (Detective Branch), Mahbub Alam, joint commissioner of Police (Detective Branch), ‘Nagad’ executive directors Niaz Morshed Elite and Maruful Islam Jhalak were also present at the event. Lt Col Md Kousar Soukat Ali (retd), chief external affairs officer of Nagad, gave the vote of thanks, said a press release.

Speaking on the occasion, AKM Hafiz Akhter said, "In three years, ‘Nagad’ has done exceptionally well. The more innovative services from organizations such as ‘Nagad’ will come, the more individuals will get benefits. We want everyone in the market who provides MFS services to succeed. We will constantly work hard to keep our customers' money safe. However, customers must stay alert as well."

Muhammad Harun Ar Rashid, DMP (North) joint commissioner of police (Detective Branch), Mahbub Alam, DMP (South) joint commissioner of police (Detective Branch) also spoke at the event.

In collaboration with Bangladesh Police, ‘Nagad’ has already held numerous seminars, including awareness campaigns among the Nagad Uddokta’s on money laundering, terrorism financing, and fraudulent and suspicious transactions in various parts of the country.
