No Covid-19 death was reported in 24 hours till 8:00 a.m. Friday (Apr 8), said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country remains at 29,123 and the death rate is 1.49 percent.
At least 48 new infections from Covid-19 were recorded during this time. The total number of cases rose to 19,51,995, said the release.
The current positivity rate is 0.77 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.06 percent, said the release.
A total of 6,238 samples were tested across the country during this period.
At least 660 patients recovered from the infection during this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 18,87,323 and the recovery rate at 96.69 percent, added the release.
