Ramadan office timing from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The government has rearranged the office timing for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for all government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions. The decision was taken on Monday (Mar 28) at the weekly cabinet meeting held with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair at the Prime Minister's Office, local media reported.

During Ramadan, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. was fixed as the office time from Sunday to Thursday, said cabinet secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam while briefing reporters at the Secretariat.

He said there will be a 15-minute break from 1:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for Zahr prayers.

However, the Governor of Bangladesh Bank informed that the office time for banks would be from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during Ramadan, said Anwarul Islam.
