Coronavirus infection testing activities will begin at Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport on Jan 1. The four approved clinical laboratories have already made ancillary preparations for the RT-PCR test, including the installation of machines at the designated place of the airport.
Chattogram Divisional Health Director Dr. Hassan Shahriar Kabir told state media on Sunday (Dec 26) that there is an obligation to take the RT-PCR report within six hours in case of a trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
As there was no opportunity to get the RT-PCR report at Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport, everyone had to go to UAE via Dhaka.
Considering the plight of the expatriates, the government approved four private laboratories for Corona testing at the airport.
Dr. Hasan Shahriar Kabir further told state media that the four approved labs for Shah Amanat Airport include Chevron Clinical Laboratory of Chattogram, Prescription Point and Lab Aid of Dhaka, and Modern Hospital Pvt. Ltd. of Cumilla.
