The National Board of Revenue (NBR) on Tuesday (Nov 30) extended the deadline for submission of income tax returns by another one month up to Dec 31.
The NBR has taken the decision following request from the various concerned stakeholders, said Sayed A Momen, Director, Public Relations of the Revenue Board while talking to state media on Tuesday.
As per the latest decision, the taxpayers will get another one month to submit tax returns, Momen said.
There are currently 67 lakh people in the country, who have Taxpayer's Identification Number (TIN).
