Highlighting the importance of digital transformation, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Sunday (Nov 28) said it would not be possible to keep pace with the 4th Industrial Revolution (IR) without digital devices, digital finance and digital economy.
He said this while speaking at a seminar titled “Leveraging Fourth IR” arranged on the occasion of Bangladesh Investment Summit at Radisson Blu Hotel in the capital.
Bangladesh Investment Development Authority organised the summit to attract domestic and foreign investors using Bangladesh's investment facilities, said a press release.
Speaking as the chief guest, Palak said Bangladesh is ready to lead the 4th Industrial Revolution.
He said the country’s people are now enjoying the benefits of modern life through rapid transformation of life with the help of technology.
Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority managing director Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) president Syed Almas Kabir, E-Cab president Sami Kaiser and bKash CEO Kamal Quader, among others, spoke at the seminar.
