Maldivian Vice President pays tribute to Bangabandhu

Visiting Maldivian Vice President Faisal Naseem on Monday (Nov 22) paid his deep tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his portrait at Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. Naseem was accompanied by Maldivian foreign secretary and high official of Bangladesh foreign ministry.

The Maldivian Vice President arrived in Dhaka in the morning on a three-day official visit to further bilateral ties and mutual cooperation between the two South Asian nations. Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen received the Maldivian Vice President at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 9.15 a.m., local media reported.

Apart from the bilateral issues, Naseem's visit will be focused on cooperation in the field of manpower export, health and education.

During his visit, the Vice President is likely to hold meeting with President Md. Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban.
