WCIT is one of the most important and prestigious events of the World Information Technology & Services Alliance (WITSA) – a consortium of leading information and communication technology associations of the world.
The annual World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) has been organized since 1978 and is a unique networking event for government organizations, businesses, service providers, media and academic leaders; prominent global entities converge to discuss emerging markets, legal and policy issues, political and economic trends, emerging technologies, ICT user perspectives, and business opportunities in the global marketplace.
This prestigious global technology conference was hosted jointly by ICT Division of Ministry of Post and Telecommunication, Bangladesh Computer Council and Bangladesh Computer Samity. As a Chief Guest, Mr. Salman F Rahman MP, Private Sector, and Investment Adviser to the Prime Minister, announced the closing of ceremony on Nov 14. Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak MP, Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) was also present during the ceremony.
