DU reschedules admission test, begins from Oct 1

The admission tests for undergraduate programmes under different units at Dhaka University have been rescheduled due to the deteriorating situation of Covid-19 in the country.

The entry test of the university under the 2020-21 academic session will begin from Oct 1 with the test of ‘Ka’ (A) unit which was supposed to commence from Jul 31, DU Proctor AKM Golam Rabbani told media.

The admission test of 'Kha' unit will be held on Oct 2, 'Ga' unit on Oct 22, 'Gha' unit on Oct 23 and 'Cha' unit (drawing) on Oct 9.

The decision came from an emergency Dean’s committee meeting held on Tuesday (Jul 13) virtually, with Vice Chancellor of the university Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman in the chair.

This year, the examinations will be held for a total of 120 marks, out of which MCQs will carry 60 marks and written part will carry 40 and there will be 20 marks for the results of SSC and HSC this year.

Admit cards can be downloaded from Sep 11 to 30 minutes before the examinations.
