Banks will remain open from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. before the upcoming countrywide lockdown starting from Jul 1.
It was learnt that, said there was no directive for banks to limit their banking hours. Banks will have to continue their operation what they have been doing.
The government on Sunday (Jun 27) said that all public transports, shopping malls, tourism and entertainment centres will remain closed from Monday (Jun 28) to Thursday (Jun 30).
Bangladesh Bank earlier asked banks to keep their branches open till 3:30 p.m. instead of 4 p.m. in every working day. The central bank may reschedule banking hours following the government decision in the days to come.
