Stressing the need for taking appropriate preparations to face future challenges, State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain on Saturday (Oct 3) said Bangladesh will have to face various challenges in the future in a rapidly changing world.

“Bangladesh will face many changes very fast in the next two decades... We have to adapt to the changes in various fields including industry and trade, agriculture, education, economy, technology,” he said.

He was speaking as the chief guest at a ‘Policy Dialogue’ programme titled, “Public Policy Challenges for the next 25 Years: Are we ready?” at Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC) at Savar, said a release.

“In all cases there will be different challenges... therefore, in order to survive by facing all those challenges, proper preparation has to be taken from now on,” he said.

In order to achieve the goals of the government, it is very important to formulate a quality policy and implement it properly, therefore, all those involved in policy formulation and implementation should work sincerely to make Bangladesh a prosperous state by continuing the trend of development.

The state minister said that how much the government will be able to achieve its set target depends a lot on the skills and abilities of the government employees.

“Leader of the people Sheikh Hasina’s government has taken massive initiatives to create skilled human resources and we are already reaping the benefits” he said.
