Govt gives directives over maintaining hygiene rules amid Covid-19

The government has directed all concerned to take legal actions against any person or organization for violation of the health rules, including wearing masks and maintaining social distancing, in order to contain the spread of Covid-19.

According to the directives of the Cabinet Division, the government has taken a four-point decision, which will come into effect from Sep 1, regarding the overall functioning and movement of people in the current Coronavirus situation.

Respective authorities will take necessary steps to ensure hygiene rules in the matters which is under their purview, according the directives.

The directives asked all to wear masks at all the times outside their residences, maintain social distancing and ensure hygiene rules.

District and upazila administrations including local government department, Information Ministry, Health Service Department will implement massive publicity and public awareness activities to prevent the spread of Covid-19, said the directive.

Necessary action will be taken against the person or organization for violating the health rules.

Ministries and departments concerned have been asked to comply with the directives.
