PRAN-RFL Group, one of the business conglomerates of Bangladesh, is distributing food items to more than 11 thousand poor families across the country. The organization has started food distribution in the third phase under ‘Pashe Asi Bangladesh’ program as a part of its corporate social responsibility during the global epidemic of coronavirus.
In the third phase, the group is providing consumer goods items among 11 thousand families of more than 10 districts of the country including Dhaka.
Nurul Afser, Head of Corporate Brand at PRAN-RFL Group, said, ‘‘As part of corporate social responsibility, we have introduced ‘Pashe Asi Bangladesh’ program. Under this program, we are providing food to 60,000 helpless and poor families who have become workless during the general holidays across the country. We have set up an isolation unit at Amjad Khan Chowdhury Memorial Hospital in Natore to ensure treatment of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) infected patients.’’
He also said that besides this, surgical masks, PPE, hand gloves, hand sanitizers & sample collection booth to test covid-19 have been donated to Director General of Health Services (DGHS) and 10 hospitals.
Kamruzzaman Kamal, Director Marketing at PRAN RFL Group, said, ‘‘We have emphasized two things to stand by the people of the country during the Corona outbreak. We are distributing food among low-income people and providing assistance to the health sector.’’
He also said PRAN-RFL Group has continued its food support program across the country and will stand beside the people of the country in the future.
