Two more infected with coronavirus: DGHS

Two more persons have tested positive with coronavirus (Covid-19) in Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, taking the number of the confirmed cases to 56, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). 

Both persons are male - one is 30-40 year old, the other person is between 70 and 80, said Dr MD Habibur Rahman, Director of Management Information System, DGHS, during the regular online press briefing in Dhaka.

No patient died during the time, said Mr Habibur Rahman.

Bangladesh so far confirmed six deaths from coronavirus disease while 26 patients recovered so far and 24 patients are now undergoing treatment.

On Wednesday, Bangladesh reported its sixth coronavirus death and three new cases.

The death toll from the coronavirus or COVID-19 has crossed 47,000 globally as of Thursday noon (Bangladesh time).

Coronavirus has so far infected about 9.36 lakh people around the world, according to worldometer.
