Mashrafe Bin Mortaza will lead the Bangladesh ODI side in the three-match series against Zimbabwe from Feb 21 in Sylhet. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan Papon came up with the announcement at a press briefing on Wednesday (Feb 19) at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
“We are also thinking to select the next ODI captain shortly keeping the next World Cup in mind,” said Papon.
Nazmul had a meeting with three senior cricketers in the shape of Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mominul Haque at the BCB premises Wednesday and later emerged with the announcement, reports said.
