Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made a courtesy call on President Md. Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Monday (Feb 17) night.
“The Prime Minister discussed different state-level issues, especially her recent visits to Italy, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Spain, with the President,” President’s Press Secretary M Joynal Abedin told media.
The press secretary said during the meeting, the President and the PM enquired each other about their health.
The premier reached the Bangabhaban at 7.30 p.m. On her arrival, the PM was received by President Hamid and his spouse Rashida Khanam with a bouquet.
The PM also presented a bouquet to the head of the state attended a dinner at Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban. President’s wife, Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury and secretaries concerned were, among others, present there.
