India beat Australia by seven wickets in third ODI to clinch series 2-1. Virat Kohli was cleaned up for 89 by Josh Hazlewood. But the captain did his job and set India on a path to win.

He was helped on the course by his deputy Rohit Sharma who registered his 29th ODI ton (119) in 287-run chase. Shreyas Iyer played a smart cameo scoring unbeaten 44 off 35 balls.

Earlier, Mohammed Shami picked up four wickets, including the wicket of Steve Smith, who was dismissed for 131. The right-handed batsman tried to slog a big hit, but Shreyas Iyer’s diving effort in the deep ends his stay in the middle.

Shami dismissed Pat Cummins for a duck in the same over. In the next over, he dismissed Adam Zampa.

Australia managed to reach 286/9 in 50 overs.
