The country’s middle and northern regions, including the capital, are likely to experience rain and cold wave again on Wednesday (Jan 8) and Thursday, said Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Monday (Jan 6).
Rain is likely to occur in northern parts of the country on Wednesday and in the middle region on Thursday, said a Meteorologist adding that a cold wave may sweep the country on Friday.
A mild cold wave is sweeping Rangpur, Kurigram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Pabna,Jashore and Kushtia, and it may continue and spread, the met office said.
The lowest 8.8˚C temperature was recorded in Rajshahi on Monday morning.
The temperature in Tetulia was recorded at 5˚C on Dec 30 and 4.5˚C on Dec 29, which is the lowest in this season.
