JSC, JDC pass rate goes up by 2.07%

The pass rate of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examination increased by 2.07 per cent this year than the last year, Education Minister Dipu Moni declared this after handing over results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, local media reported.

This year the pass in the JSC and JDC examinations is 87.90 per cent, which was 85.83 per cent last year.

Meanwhile, the pass rate of this year’s Primary Education Completion (PEC) is 95.50 percent while 95.96 percent of students came out successfully in Ebtedayee examination.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossen announced the results officially in press briefing on Tuesday (Dec 31) afternoon.

Earlier, Education Minister announced the results of JSC and JDC examinations.

Earlier in the morning, the results were handed over to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganabahban.

The PM also inaugurated the distribution of free textbooks among students for the year 2020 from the same event.

The JSC, JDC and the PEC examinations were held across the country in November.
