A total of 7,008 graduates, post-graduates will attend the 6th convocation of Khulna University, the biggest in its history, to be held on Sunday (Dec 22).
President Md. Abdul Hamid, also the Chancellor of the university, will preside over the event at the central playground on KU campus.
Members of Cabinet Division, Mayor of Khulna City Corporation, Members of Parliament, Secretaries of different ministry, Vice-Chancellors of different University, Deputy Commissioner of the division, Law-enforcement agency, local government bodies and noted educationalist are expected to attend the convocation.
In the convocation, a total of 23 gold medals will be distributed among students for their outstanding performance for academic results and contributions.
A total of eight researchers will be conferred with Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees and five researchers will be given Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degrees. Teachers and students of KU and the affiliated colleges have already collected their invitation cards and academic costumes.
