Mayeen Uddin Khan Badal, a Freedom Fighter and lawmaker of Chattogram constituemcy-8 (Boakhali-Chandgaon), passed away at a hospital in India early today at the age of 67.
Jatiyo Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President Mayeen Uddin Khan Badal has passed away at a hospital in Bangalore of India.
Badal, a Member of Parliament from Chattogram-8 constituency, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Dr Devi Shetty's Narayana Hrudalayala Hospitals of Bangalore on Thursday (Nov 7) morning.
Mridul Hasan, a brother of Badal, confirmed the news to media. He was born on Feb 21 in 1952.
President Md. Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of veteran politician and parliament member Badal and also recalled with profound respect the contributions of Badal to politics.
The nation has lost a devoted politician in his death, the president and PM said in separate messages issued today.
They also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
