Authorities closed down Jahangirnagar University for indefinite period in wake of student protests. Students have been instructed to leave the dormitories of the varsity by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday (Nov 5).
The decision was taken at an emergency syndicate meeting chaired by the university Vice-Chancellor Dr. Farzana Islam at her office on the campus in the afternoon, local media reported.
