Actor Misha Sawdagor has been re-elected president of 'Bangladesh Chalochitro Shilpi Shomiti', defeating actress Arifa Pervin Zaman Moushumi in the biennial election.
The Misha-Zayed panel won 18 out of 21 posts and will lead the association till 2021.
Ilias Kanchan, the election commission chief, announced the results on Saturday (Oct 26) after daylong voting at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) in Dhaka, local media reported.
Dipjol and Rubel were elected vice presidents. Arman was elected assistant vice-president.
Actor Mamunun Emon elected international affairs secretary, Zakir Hossain elected sports and cultural affairs secretary. Actor Subrata was elected organising secretary unopposed. Jackie Alamgir and Farhad Hossain were the only candidates for the posts of office and publicity secretary, and treasurer respectively.
Ten executive members are - Aruna Bishwas, Anjana, Afzal Sharif, Asif Iqbal, Alexandar Bow, Rozina, Nasrin, Maruf Akib, Joy Chowdhury and Jasmine.
