A preparatory committee was formed on Sunday (Oct 20) to hold the upcoming 7th congress of Bangladesh Awami Jubo League, the youth wing of Bangladesh Awami League. It was revealed at a meeting between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and central leaders of Bangladesh Awami Jubo League at the Prime Minister’s official residence at Ganabhaban, Dhaka.
In the meeting, the youth wing’s Presidium Member Chayon Islam and its General Secretary Harunur Rashid were made Convener and Member Secretary of the committee respectively.
All members of Awami Jubo league Working Committee will be the members of the newly formed preparatory committee. Mohammad Omar Farooque Chowdhury has been released from the chairman post of Jubo League.
The meeting also decided to make the age limit of the members of Jubo League to 55 years. The Jubo Congress is scheduled to be held on Nov 23, local media reported.
