Advance Eid bus ticket sales begin

Private bus operators started selling advance tickets for the home goers ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Azha from this morning. The sales began from 6 a.m., and will be sold till 6 p.m. every day before the Eid day, reports said.

Private bus operators started selling advance bus tickets on Friday morning for homebound people ahead of holy Eid-ul-Azha. People were seen waiting in long queues to collect their tickets at Gabtoli and Kalyanpur bus terminals as sale of tickets began at 6 a.m.

The crowd was thin at Mohakhali bus terminal where tickets of short distance destinations like Mymensingh, Netrakona, Tangail are available.

Besides, tickets of 35 buses are also available through mobile app.

Bangladesh Railway will start selling advance train tickets on Jul 29. The tickets will be sold at five spots – Kamalapur, Airport, Banani and Tejgaon railway stations and Fulbaria in the capital.

Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of Muslims, is expected be celebrated in Bangladesh on Aug 12.
