Kane Williamson was handed the Player of the Tournament award during the prize giving ceremony at the end of the cricket World Cup final at Lord's. The Kiwi skipper beat the likes of Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan, India's Rohit Sharma and Australia's Mitchell Starc to the prestigious award.
Williamson scored 578 runs having batted in nine innings at an average of 82.47 runs.
He was adjudged Player of the Tournament for his leadership as captain as well as for carrying his team to the final.
