Jatiyo Party (JP) Acting Chairman GM Quader on Sunday (Jul 7) said that the condition of ailing leader of the opposition in Parliament, and Jatiyo Party Chairman HM Ershad has improved slightly.
“His health condition is better than yesterday, however, he is still not out of danger,” GM Quader told a press briefing at the party’s Banani office in Dhaka, local media reported citing a press release.
Ershad has been put on artificial ventilation and dialysis is being conducted to remove the excess water and toxins from his body, he added.
The acting JP Chairman said the doctors are hopeful about Ershad’s full recovery, and they are trying their best to provide him with necessary medications.
A Milad Mehfil was organized by National Olama Party on Sunday at the JP Chairman’s Banani office seeking blessings for his early recovery.
Ershad was admitted to CMH with old-age complications on Jun 26. He has been suffering from serious ailments for the last nine months.
