Shakib also joined Kapil Dev and Yuvraj Singh in the list of players who have scored a ton and taken a five-wicket haul in the same edition of cricket's mega event.

This was Shakib’s first five-wicket haul in World Cup. Earlier, Kapil Dev took a five-wicket haul in a World Cup edition in 1983, Yuvraj in 2011 and now Shakib in 2019.

Incidentally, Kapil and Yuvraj ended up winning the World Cups in 1983 and 2011.
