Jatiyo Sangsad Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Wednesday (Jun 5) made a courtesy call on President Md. Abdul Hamid at the Bangabhaban in Dhaka.
During the meeting, the Speaker informed the President about the overall activities of the parliament, specially the upcoming budget session of 2019-20 fiscal year which is slated for Jun 11.
President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin briefed media after the meeting, local media reported.
He said Finance Minister A H M Mustafa Kamal will place the budget for 2019-20 FY on Jun 13 in the parliament. The head of the state will be present in the House during that time.
President Hamid thanked Dr. Chaudhury for her overall activities in the parliament.
