PM offers ziarat at Masjid-e Nababi

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina offered ziarat of Rawza Mubarak of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) in the holy city of Madinah on Sunday (Jun 2) afternoon. The premier performed ziarat of the Rawza Mubarak of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) at Masjid-e Nababi after Zohr prayers. She also offered prayers seeking divine blessings for the countrymen as well as continued peace, progress and prosperity of Muslim Ummah.

Sheikh Rehana, younger daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, PM’s daughter Saima Wazed Hossain Putul, and other entourage members of the PM also offered the ziarat, reports said.

Earlier, the premier reached Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah from Makkah by a special flight. Wahib Al-Sahli, deputy governor of Madinah, received the premier at the airport.

In Makkah, the PM addressed on behalf of the Asia Group the 14th Summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) titled “Makkah Al Mukarramah Summit: Hand in Hand Towards the Future” on Saturday.

Sheikh Hasina also performed Umrah on Saturday night.

The premier reached Saudi Arabia on May 31 at the invitation of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to attend the 14th conference of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) wrapping up her four-day visit to Japan.
