MoU signed between BASIS and IPDC

Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) arranged an Iftar and Doa Mahfil at Raowa Convention Center on Saturday (May 18). Planning Minister M. A. Mannan, MP graced the occasion as chief guest. ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP was present as special guest.

The Planning Minister said, having iftar with BASIS has given me immense pleasure. BASIS is the apex ICT trade body of the country and working relentlessly for the development of Digital Bangladesh. He also greeted all BASIS members Eid Mubarak in advance.

Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, ICT has become one of the focal revenue earning sector for our country. In 10 years export earning has reached up to 1 Billion US Dollar. BASIS is working relentlessly for the development of this sector. Government is also giving top most priority for the development of ICT sector. 

At the program a MoU has been singed between BASIS and IPDC Finance Limited. Under this MOU, IPDC shall offer strategic product Joyee for the women entrepreneur of BASIS as well as Supply Chain Finance through Orjon platform to all the members. 

“Orjon” is a comprehensive supply chain financing solution which will provide financial facilities to corporate organization, micro, and small enterprises (MSEs) in one single chain.

After the MoU signing BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir said, welfare of members is the topmost priority of BASIS. I believe this MoU will help BASIS members companies to grow their business and have financial gain at the same time. BASIS President also thanked more than 800 members for joining the Iftar & Doa Mehfil.

Managing Director and CEO of IPDC Finance Limited Mominul Islam said, IPDC patronizes collaboration as the new innovation. Onboarding the largest the national trade body for software & IT enabled service industry of Bangladesh, BASIS fills us with confidence for greater heights. We are glad to be in venture with BASIS, because such associations are the driving force of the vision of Digital Bangladesh.

Convener of the program and BASIS Vice-President (Finance) Mushfiqur Rahman gave welcome remarks. At the end Senior Vice-President of BASIS Farhana A Rahman gave vote of thanks. BASIS Vice-President (Admin) Shoeb Ahmed Masud, Director Tamzid Siddiq Spondon, Director Didarul Alam and Director Mustafa Rafiqul Islam also attended the Mehfil.

The programe followed by the signing ceremony was also attended by Rizwan Dawood Shams, DMD and Head of Business Finance, Shah Wareef Hossain, Chief Operating Officer, Abdul Mabud Tushar, Head of Supply Chain Finance and Sajjad Hossain Chowdhury, Head of Channel Management along with other high officials from IPDC Finance Limited.

Among others, high officials from various govt. departments, corporate houses, media personnel’s attended the Iftar.
