BASIS highlights transformation of Digital Bangladesh

In order to increase Chinese investment in Bangladeshi market recently 2nd China-Bangladesh Capital Bangladesh Cooperation Seminar took place at Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

Besides, for increasing Chinese investment in Bangladesh V-Next platform has been launched in the seminar. With the help of this platform Chinese investors’ will get to know more about Bangladesh and can identify the suitable sectors to invest into.

Also to attract investment in Bangladesh’s ICT sector ‘Riding the Digital Wave in Bangladesh’ panel discussion took place at Shenzhen Stock Market.

BASIS President took part and presided over the panel discussion where many a Chinese businessmen and investors took part. At the panel discussion LICT’s Project Director Md. Rezaul Karim & LICT’s Component team leader Sami Ahmed also took part. 

BASIS member company e-Generation Limited’s Chairman Shameem Ahsan and DevNet Limited’s Chairman A K Sabbir Mahbub were also present.

At the panel discussion BASIS President highlighted the transformation of Digital Bangladesh. He said, Bangladesh Government has undertaken the manifesto of building Digital Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s ICT sector has shown immense growth over the last 10 years. Bangladesh in now IT ready with next generation innovations and skilled man power. Also Bangladesh has started to take necessary preparation for the upcoming 4th Industrial Revolution. So for China, Bangladesh’s ICT sector is the suitable spot to invest into.

At the panel discussion Chinese investors and officials of Shenzhen Stock Exchange have also expressed their interest and curiosity regarding the fastest growing ICT sector of Bangladesh.

Shenzhen Stock Exchange is the world’s 8th largest stock exchange comprising of more than 2,500 billion dollars’ worth capital.
