Heat wave may continue and spread over country

Mild heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi and Khulna divisions and the regions of Tangail, Dinajpur and Sayedpur and it may continue and spread, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department release on Monday (May 6).

The met office forecasted that rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Sylhet division and weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

Country’s maximum temperature on Monday was recorded by 37.7 degree celsius at Ishurdi while the lower temperature was recorded by 21.3 degree celsius in Sylhet.
