As the moon of Ramadan is sighted in the sky of Bangladesh, the holy month of Ramadan will begin Tuesday (May 7), said Bangladesh Islamic Foundation.
The decision was made in the moon sighting committee meeting in Islamic Foundation conference room of Baitul Mukarram national mosque around 7:00 p.m on Monday (May 6).
State Minister for Religious Affairs and moon sighting committee president Advocate Sheikh Md Abdullah presided over the meeting, local media reported.
Tarabih prayers for the holy month, will follow Isha prayers on Monday night.
