The Bangladesh Bank said that the banking hours during the month of Ramadan will be from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. However, transaction hours for the customers will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the central bank said in a notice issued on Sunday (May 5).
For bank staffs, there will be a prayer break between 1:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., but, service will continue during this break through bank’s internal coordination.
Services at all banks across the country will remain off on Friday and Saturday throughout the holy month, the notice added.
