PRAN Drinking Water arranges walkathon to help disabled people

PRAN Drinking Water arranged a walkathon on Friday to raise the fund for the people with physically disabled. The 5-km long walkathon was held in the capital’s Hatirjheel Begun Bari area.

A good number of people from all walks of life joined the walkathon through completing registration. Five taka will be deposited for every registration. The fund will be used for Dream for Disability Foundation (DDF), a sports organization for the people with physically disabled. 

In the program, PRAN-RFL Group’s CEO and Chairman Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, member of wheel chair cricket team and Dream for Disability Foundation's founder Headyetul Aziz Munna, former captain of Bangladesh cricket team Habibul Bashar Sumon, former player of Bangladesh football team Kaiser Hamid and actor Nirab Hossain participated the competition. 

Anisur Rahman, Executive Director of PRAN Beverage Limited said, “PRAN Drinking Water always work to help under privileged people. This time, we have arranged walkathon to help disabled people. We also arranged walkathon in the past to raise fund to help street children.”

Headyetul Aziz Munna said, “Physically disabled persons are participating many events across the world and achieving many prestigious award on behalf of the country. So, we need support from the people. I thank PRAN for taking the initiative.” 

Atikur Rahman, Head of Marketing at PRAN Drinking Water and Zeaul Haque, Assistant General Manager (Public Relations), among others, were also present at the program.
